The Tongs Family

We are a frequent visitor to Malaysia and Thailand discus farms, through these travel we have learned and made alot of friends. Here is a picture of us with one of the top breeder of Malaysia,the Tong brothers with their lovely mother.

The Tong started discus in the 80's and have produced lots of wonderful strains. What impressed me the most about their farm apart from others is the quality of discus they produced. The consistency in size and marking of their fishes and the way those fishes approach the front of the tank as visitors look at them bears testament they are very healthy.

The Leopard and Leopardsnake discus is no stranger to the Asian discus scene ( it's been in the market for more then 6 years) but I must say that the Tong have brought the Leopardsnake to an impeccable standard, prove was bestow upon them when their Leopardsnake won in the Duisburg,Germany 3rd International Discus Championship 2000. Netting the Grand Champion and four other prizes.

When asked they told me it was a surprise that their fish won all the top prizes,

as for me I'm just glad that NOW the Leopardsnake have gain the recognition it so deserve.
